About ME

Improving my mental and physical health with food

I was diagnosed with Autism later in life as level 1, as per the DSM-5.

From an early age I knew I was different from all my other friends I didn’t understand how I fitted in and communicate. I was very happy on my own always was nervous and anxious with social interactions.

When I was young 70’s/80’s there was not much awareness and education around this. I remember something my late mother once said, when I told her I have Autism the response was “now I know why you where always quite and didn’t interact with all the other children”.

Today I hold a very respectable job, inclusion and diversity is very big and getting awareness out there is important to me.

One thing, I do not provide medical and nutritional advise. I share knowledge and experiences.

Mind Body & Health

Putting the pieces together and promoting a healthy brain

After year of eating all the wrong food groups, eating the same food repetitively.

I started to research food and affects on the brain related to Autism.

One thing I found was some key foods that affected cognitive behavior and mental health within neurodiversity.

  • Sugar

  • Dairy

  • Gluten

  • Proteins

Then to improve mental health we look at exercise and eating good food to support mental health.
